In all cultures of all times, myths and legends have developed based on the true
heroic efforts of mortal men and women. The sacrifices and commitments of these
individuals propelled their lives into immortality in the telling of their stories.
As a way to pay respect to these legendary figures, the Budo Hall of Honor was created
by the WSKF Board of Directors. The Budo Hall of Honor recognizes the

efforts, commitment and dedication that each inductee has contributed to Matsubayashi-Ryu and the WSKF.
To honor their lives and their lifework in karate, a “wall of honor” display has been
erected at the Honbu Dojo. This wall provides education to our students so that future
generations continue to tell the stories of our own Karate legends.
